Installation, sculpture and photography form the largest part of my practise to date yet my focus at present is Painting.  I'm influenced by the everyday, the relationships within it, the history that informs it.  Themes of loss, domesticity and motherhood have been the undercurrent to recent work and from this a dialogue has evolved between me as mother and me as painter.

With eyes wide open the junk, the throwaway, the found become the fabric of the work along with chosen materials for their metaphorical value.

I am driven by what stuff does, its properties, its interactions.  Within the studio environment, objects, combinations and theoretical discourse collude to inform new work giving voice to a hidden psychology which is revealed through play.
